In 1917, David P. Anderson purchased a farm now known as Standard City. Before the deed was
delivered, Standard Oil Company decided they wanted the property and brought suit to stop de
livery of the deed. They lost and Anderson won, and then offered Standard Oil the property, but
they were no longer interested. . .
