Become A Volunteer Today

For members and non-members alike, the Macoupin County Historical Society offers a
multitude of opportunities for volunteerism. Regardless of your age or ability, there is
always something you can do to contribute to our efforts to preserve and celebrate the
past. If you have a special old-time skill, we want you to demonstrate during our
festivals. If you are good at filing and clerical work or research, we have a place for you
in the Genealogy Library. We even need housekeepers and maintenance people to
share the work required to keep the grounds and buildings up and running. Young
people also can volunteer and get a taste of contributing to the betterment of their
community. They might want to get involved in helping with technological work with the
website and social media, or perhaps a school club would like to take on a new project
such as a dynamic kid’s corner.
Whatever your interest, we have a place for you. You never know where it might lead
you – what you might learn or what you might teach. We’re a great place for community
and making new friendships. So come join the fun.
