WHITE CITY

White City is a small village in Mt. Olive Township, with an area of 1.21 square miles, developed due to the opening in 1905 of Coal Mine No. 15 by the Consolidated Coal Company of St. Louis. At its peak, it employed about 360 men, mostly from Mt.
